MoveCost is a free moving-cost calculator and a service that matches you with licensed, insured moving carriers. We are not a moving company. We do not own trucks, employ movers, or perform the move ourselves. The actual move is carried out by the independent carrier you choose to work with.
The figures our calculator produces are informational estimates based on the data you provide and on general market rates. They are not a binding quote or a contract. Your final price is set by the moving carrier after they review the specifics of your move.
When you request quotes, we introduce you to one or more vetted carriers. Any agreement, payment, and the move itself are strictly between you and that carrier. We are not responsible for the acts, omissions, pricing, or performance of independent carriers, though we work to partner only with licensed and insured providers.
The Site is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law, MoveCost is not liable for any damages arising from your use of the Site, the estimates it provides, or your dealings with any carrier.
